I am Thankful for...

I just wanted to put out there how grateful I am.  I so many blessings I can't even begin to count them.
I am so grateful for this time of year I have to remember all the things I have been blessed with.  To name a few not in any order
-My family.  My husbands family and my family.
-My home
-My bed (and sleep when I can get some)
-Scriptures
-My testimony of Jesus Christ
-Temples and being sealed to my family for eternity
-My Savior
-Love
-Food
-Clothing
-Black Friday Hehehe  I can only count one that I have missed since I was about 12.
-Happiness
-Life
-My Husband and all that he does for my and our family
-Hope
-Knowledge
-Books to expand my mind
-The Gospel
-My garden and big backyard
-My job and my husbands job
-Technology
-My car
-Time I have to spend with my kids
-Washing machine and dryer
-Dishwasher
-Electricity
-My wood burning stove
-My friends and Neighbors
-Church
-Music
-Snow
-Seasons
-Holidays
-Memories
-Sight
-Hearing
-My voice as I try to use to better others
-Institute
-The Holy Spirit
-Chocolate
Well I could go on and on, but there are so many things and I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for blessing me.  I know he will always give me what I need if I ask and give thanks in return.

Fun With Jeffrey

Jeffrey just loves the bath.

He can be so crazy.

He loves to touch and grab everything in his reach.  I end up taking out half the soaps so he doesn't eat them.

Fun with cousin Jackson.  They can be the best of friends or worst enemies.

I can't believe Jeff will be one in less than a week.  I love this little guy.

How We Met

I remember like it was yesterday.  It was the first day of school and my next class was seminary.  I walk into class and find a seat close to the front.  After I sit down, I turn around to see if there are any familiar faces that share the same class.  Then I saw him.  The most gorgeous guy with brown hair and blue eyes; walking with confidence in his blue, plaid shirt and tan pants to a seat near the middle, left of the classroom.  At that moment I knew I wanted to know as much about him as possible.  Although, I also new that he was much too good looking for me. I was just an average looking junior while he was a handsome, very eligible senior.

While taking roll I found out his name was Jake.  Weeks went by.  Every once in a while I would take a glance back at him and hope to be introduced.  A couple of months later Mr. Smith, our teacher, told everyone to pair up and practice our scripture memorization.  Well, I looked around the room and noticed that Jake wasn't paired up yet.  I dig up all the courage I had and walk over to him.  I ask him if he wanted to practice with me.  He said, "Sure."  Wow, he actually talked to me.

Another month went by and it was time to change seats.  Would you believe my luck!  I was put right next to this Jake, that amazing guy that I had a huge crush on.  We started talking and became good friends.  We talked about everything.  We laughed together and read together.  Then along cam the dreaded new seating chart.  This time he was in the very back and I in the middle.  At time I would look back only to see see him smiling at me.  Giving me goose bumps every time.

Soon it was the last week of school and finally on the last day of seminary we exchange phone numbers.  Hurray!  Although, it would be a couple of months before either of us uses them.  I currently had a boyfriend and Jake wasn't the kind to call first.

After my boyfriend and I break up I give him a call.  Literally, the day after we breakup.  I tell him that I had just broke up with my boyfriend(hint hint).  A little over a week later he calls me and asks me out on our first date.

Kitchen Upgrade

This house is our first home we have purchased.  We have been here a little over a year.  It was built in 1946.  Yeah I know kinda old, but it had been remodeled in 2008.  We loved the home right when we walked in, but then we walked into the kitchen.  There was only one wall with cupboard space.  Half of the cupboards were the really small ones above the fridge and the stove and we had another small cupboard above our sink.  Just not a lot of space.  We had to buy carts to store pans because we there was only one bottom cupboard.  Anyway you get my drift, no space.

So after dealing with all the clutter in this corner and storing a lot of our appliances in the basement.  We decided to add in more cupboards with more counter space(we only had a little square of counter space on each side of the sink.)  So, were really glad to get these in.  Now we can fit everything in the kitchen.
Sorry there are no really before pictures.

Jeffrey in the Kitchen

Jeffrey is so close to walking and with that comes more messes.

He just loves to get into the Tupperware, and make big messes for me in the kitchen, but he is learning so I don't do too much about it.  The only bad thing is when he closes the the draw on his fingers.

And that is what happened here.  It makes me happy when I can kiss his ouchies away.  Luckily he is a boy and gets over things really fast, unlike my two girls who could cry for a whole day without stopping.

Entering A New Phase Of Life

This was the first day of school.  Little did I know how my life would change.

I went from STAY at HOME mom to DRIVE everywhere MOM.  No more "What's a Schedule?"

I have now come to terms that there will never be a day that I can just decide that I don't want to go anywhere.  Or on rainy or snowy days snuggle in pj's with my girls all day and watch movies with popcorn and hot cocoa.  I will always have to be picking up or dropping off everyday.  I used to not know what day it was.  Now I find myself wondering when it will be Saturday and we can just relax at home to enjoy each other.  Rather than "hurry and get ready because we have to go to school."

Although, I will add that I do love seeing Stephanie and Mercede's face when I come to pick them up. Seeing how much they missed me makes it all worth it.  For instance Stephanie is not a hugger.  Rarely does she choose to hug on any given day because that is just how she is.  She saves her hugs and kisses for special occasions and bed time.  But on the first day of school and everyday since then she runs to hug me when I pick her up.  I treasure that time each day.

Another things I love is talking about school, friends, activities and helping with homework.

One more thing that I am looking forward to is helping in the classroom and seeing her experience new things with all her new friends.
Here's to a new, exciting, beginning.

My Brother Elder Memmott

This is my brother Spencer and he is on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tacoma, WA.   He has been such a great example to me.  FUNNY thing today.   I met two people from his mission today.  They are in his ward in Washington.  My parents and I had lunch with them and talked about Elder Memmott who has been on his mission for 14 months.  It made me miss my Bro so much.  He has grow in maturity and testimony since he started serving.  It was great to see someone who just recently saw him.  The photo above is of my husband, my brother, and I when he left.  We all look so different now.  I love him so much I pray that he stays safe and continues to work hard.  This is for you Bro!
